The guys did not stay for much longer after the music started — a hasty good-bye to me and my dogs, and they were off to their farms in the foothills, where peace and tranquility reigns; where the morning mist rises from the warming earth’s surface like a ballerina dancing en pointe — slowly and beautifully balancing, lingering and then spinning off to merge with any low hanging clouds. At times like these, Nature feels so close that you could reach out and kiss her, absorbing her essence while she feeds and energizes you.

I felt a hint of dissatisfaction within myself, a restlessness stemming from a growing curiosity about Mystic Man, Judah, Jah Prince, Solomon — he had more names than a fraudster, though in all fairness, I was the one who gave him the moniker Mystic Man.

I remember the room, the lights, the intense energy;

(read last week’s story)

The points of lights, they  started replicating themselves and soon the room was filled with glowing orbs of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, merging and separating. Red and blue creating purple, blue and green producing turquoise, that danced with yellow and orange and magenta and teal — it was a painter’s paradise. And in the center of this light fest, from floor to ceiling, was a column of bright white light, vibrating at such a high frequency that I began to hear a buzzing in my ears, like a high-power saw.

Suddenly the lights stopped moving and the room grew quiet, or at least the buzzing in my ears ceased. Forms started appearing — energy forms, like apparitions. They were grouped in twos and threes, suspended in midair but joined at the sacral and heart chakra points. Where they ghosts making love?

Eyes on me, I felt them; as intense as Mystic Man’s — piercing, probing, searching, like they were digging into my very soul.

Searing heat began coursing through my body, starting at my feet, up through my spine, into my crown — like molten magma rising up a pressurized vent seeking release by way of a massive explosion, I swayed.

Strong arms caught me.

Easy, I. The energy is strong. Nothing like you have every felt in this body. Let me hold you.

He did not have to repeat the invitation. With a sense of relief, I rested my back against Mystic Man’s chest.

There was a soft hissing, cracking, popping sound.

Lava had reached seawater.
